PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

OVERVIEW OF THE MSAR® PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Stage One – Project Scoping

Typically takes between 1-2 months, with a maximum cost of US$50k.

Quadrise works with the client on the project scoping and feasibility study for producing MSAR® fuels for export or own use and advises on the project requirements.

Feasibility Study deliverables are agreed by the Client & Quadrise and are project specific but can include;

  • Scoping full or partial conversion of the fuel oil pool to MSAR® production.
  • Scoping of conversion of fuel systems for MSAR® use.
  • Conceptual Design.
  • Budget costs and Timeline.
  • PFDs & site layout.
  • MSAR® Economics.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

OVERVIEW OF THE MSAR® PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Stage Two – Pilot Testing

Typically takes between 1-2 months with costs up to US$100k

Residual oils for MSAR® production are evaluated through a series of laboratory and pilot plant screening and testing at the Quadrise Research Facility, in the UK.

Test programmes are designed to confirm and optimise the MSAR® formulation and process design based on the end-use application and product specifications and requirements such as ‘static’ and ‘dynamic stability’.

Stage Three – Front End Engineering Design

The FEED stage typically takes 3 – 4 months.

Quadrise specialists work with the Refinery Project Team and/or preferred engineering contractor to progress the design as defined by Stages 1 & 2.

Quadrise can assist with all aspects and disciplines associated with the implementation and operation of the MMU to define the Project Scope, Basis of Design and Refinery Integration activities.

Quadrise has extensive experience in project management and technology integration.

We work alongside the rest of the team to manage and execute the Detailed Engineering (all disciplines), Procurement & Construction aspects of the project, including construction supervision and management of the overall schedule.

Stage Five – Operate

Quadrise provides extensive support to commission and operate the unit and associated infrastructure.

Quadrise provides extensive Operational Support during commissioning and ongoing operations of the MMU and associated infrastructure. This support can extend to the end user as required, thereby covering all aspects of the MSAR® supply chain.
