With
respect to any project, feedstock samples will be processed
at AkzoNobel’s laboratory in Sweden and a surfactant
and additive formulation developed that is specific
to the hydrocarbon to be emulsified.
The
resulting MSAR® is then extensively tested using
protocols specifically developed for the purpose to
ensure the stability of the fuel. This process takes
into account the planned application of the fuel to
ensure that the fuel will perform properly in the
handling systems and application anticipated.
The
process of sampling and testing is continued through
the commissioning of a production system to ensure
that the production scale results properly reflect
the work done at laboratory scale.
