Emulsion Fuel Experience


	The QFI team have been at the forefront of the 60 million tonne global sales of emulsion fuels. This proven fuel for conventional power plants and other applications provides a new lease of life for liquid fuelled facilities with considerable savings versus Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and competitiveness with natural gas or LNG.
	Emulsion fuel has been successfully utilised in a variety of steam boiler configurations designed for HFO, gas and/or coal. The resulting flue gases are readily treated using conventional air pollution control equipment to meet stringent specifications. Emulsion fuel use has been assessed and approved by major organisations such as the US EPA and the World Bank. 	MSAR^® is a robust and stable fuel, manufactured from multiple sources. Users can utilise existing HFO handling and combustion systems with only minor modifications.
